Nice comic, buuuuuuuuutttttt........
....just to be that guy, but I think you are referring to 'Foal'-support? Since well.... Alimony has technically NOTHING to do with support for the child and is all for the ex-wife of which before quite recently the woman had no legal obligation to keep the child alive with her own money of which the man then got faulted for.
Especially since I don't even think that the same version of scam like laws and policies that existed for a logical reason in the past that have been bastardised since around the mid 1800's would even function in in Equastria that has a male ratio of circa 1 to 9. It relies heavily on that the male be the majority of heavy income work force and the females not taking jobs from the men, which was one of the big reasons why it was such a problem when women became a bigger part of the work force.
Since they basically took away the already diminishing jobs from men who was obligated to support multiple individuals causing severe problems for any family who wasn't able to immediately have two income families (Which was very few), but enough about this......
As I responded to someone else about this I'm just being a little pedantic and a besserwisser.
Nothing bad about the comic it's actually really good, just me thinking to much about logic in comic...... ^-^
